Moveable Mural for Your Home and Business

By Maria S. Parasiewicz

Adding a mural to your home is an excellent way for you to express yourself artistically as well as adding both value and beauty to your living environment.

It is a long-lasting change to the look and feel of your home, it makes your environment one of a kind.

There are times, however, when we may need to change our home or perhaps move the mural into a new area.

You may be anticipating a move or redecoration, in which case a moveable wall mural would be the best.

Why moveable murals?

There are two basic types of moveable murals that you can choose from. Either of these can easily be removed from one area and put into another but each of them has their own good points and bad points that need to be considered.

Regardless of which type of moveable mural you choose, it gives the artist the ability to work on their own schedule, in their own comfortable studio and to deliver the completed mural to you at one time.

Mural painted on Plywood: It is most common for moveable murals to be painted on plywood. These murals may come in more than one plywood section. Multiple sections are typically attached to each other by small nails.

Murals on plywood are rigid and quite durable. This is very good when transporting the mural. However, you should be aware that due to their size, murals on plywood are not very conveniently stored.

Moveable Canvas Mural: If you dont plan on moving your mural for a long time, you may want to consider a mural on canvas as an alternative to a mural on plywood or a painted wall mural. This way, if there is a need to suddenly move it, that is possible.

Canvas is best installed by a professional who is used to handling this type of material; installation is similar to that of wallpaper. This type of mural should not be removed by the homeowner but it needs to be handled very carefully by a professional so that it is not damaged during the removal.

Murals on canvas are very easy to store, as they can be rolled up and kept in a tube. This way they do not take up much space and leave you more room for other things.

People can choose to have a moveable mural for any number of reasons. One may want to exchange a painting from a child that has outgrown it, or simply change the room up a bit. It is ideal to have a mural which can be relocated without damaging the artwork.

Anyways, a moveable wall mural, you can easily remove and reinstall into your new home, keeping with you a touch of your old home and the good memories.
