Home Based Business: What's Holding You Back?

By Gary Harvey http://FindHotMarkets.com

You have probably seen those cartoons where there is a guy with a hinge at the back of his head so you can lift the lid to see what's going on inside his mind.

In this article, let's lift the lid and look at the several of the issues that hold people back from starting their own home based business.

"I CANT AFFORD IT."

With conventional bricks and mortar businesses , the first year can be quite costly. The startup costs include stock, premises, government registration fees, insurances, advertising, etc. and only then do you start the long slow crawl till you break even.

Compare that to online business, where many of those costs do not apply. In comparison to conventional business, the outlay to start an online venture is tiny.

"NO TIME."

Most people waste a fair bit of time watching TV and doing their pastimes. By setting aside just 30 minutes a day to build your online business, you've got about 180 hours per year. If you compare that to the 40 hour work week, these 180 hours are the equivalent of over one month of going to work. What could you achieve with a month worth of work?

"NO BUSINESS EXPERIENCE."

My father started out as a tailor's apprentice but after the war he realized there wasn't enough money in that trade so he got into the government through a serviceman's entry program and stayed there till he retired. So I didn't grow up in a family that ran a business. It doesn't need to stop you either.

Other excuses that hold people back include "I don't know how to", "I don't need to because I have a great job (so did I till one day the boss pulled the plug on me), "it's too hard" or even the fear of failure.

But you know what? - the great thing is that you can get assistance with every single one of those excuses. If you want it. Often all you need is information.

One of the biggest barriers for many people is the problem of finding a good business idea. Well, here is some more GOOD NEWS. That problem has been solved -- check out http://FindHotMarkets.com and you will see what I mean.
