By Joseph Aaron

The Garmin Nuvi 350 Personal Travel Assistant is a steal at under four hundred dollars. The product is pre-loaded with maps of the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico. The Nuvi 350 also speaks in a wonderfully easy to follow way, giving you understandable instructions as you travel.

What You Get

When you buy the Garmin Nuvi 350, you even get a great-looking piece of technology which is easy to carry with you either on foot or when driving. The product comes equipped with detachable suction cups to easily attach to a surface in your truck.

You can pre-charge your Garmin Nuvi 350 Personal Travel Assistant with either a cigarette lighter adaptor or a regular plug-in adaptor at home. Both adaptors will be shipped with the package when you purchase the navigator. On top of that, you'll receive a user's instruction booklet to teach you how to utilize the options of the Nuvi 350.

Features

The Nuvi 350 has a number of options that make it useful for any traveler. The product itself was made to remain where you put it even when the car goes over bumpy roads; it manages this through a ball-and-socket system. The product also comes equipped with an MP3 player so you can enjoy music even during hikes with your Nuvi 350.

The maps are also updateable, although it will cost you a little extra any time you update your maps. New maps are released several times each year and you merely have to get new maps for your personal Nuvi 350 when you have a reason.

Travel Kit

The travel kit that will already be on the Garmin Nuvi 350 Personal Travel Assistant is a fun feature. You can may use the Travel Kit to search for your photos and MP3 songs, and to access any of your additional travel guides. These travel guides may be bought for a wide array of international countries and can be used when you are on vacation. Most of the guides cost less than eighty dollars, but the costs could change depending on which travel guide you want to get.

Additional Features

The Garmin Nuvi 350 Personal Travel Assistant also offers several additional features, such as current traffic information for cities and a huge amount of data on the most popular spots in the cities to which your journeys take you. The traffic updater does require that you buy extra software, but it is quite beneficial when you wish to beat the five o'clock rush.

The Garmin Nuvi 350 also offers street names to give you directions, rather than just offering feet or miles. This is a much better way to know where you are headed even if you are visiting a new city. You can work out your routes, adjust your routes, and add pit stops to your route easily with a touch screen.
