3 Magical Ways to Let Your Opinions Be Known, Part 2

By Rhondole Scott

Everyone has something to say. Whether it's talking about their little league team, the local hiking trails, or promoting their business, we all have a voice. Computers and the internet have opened up many doorways, and now we have many viable and reasonable avenues to be seen and heard.

Blogging is one option for bringing your message to the world. Blogs vary from the online diary concept to product reviews, opinions, and tips.

There are options on blogs as well, with many free blogging sites available these days. All blogging sites will have rules such as the type of content, ads, and other rules intended to keep the blogging community safe and inviting.

Some blogging sites, like blogger, allow pay per click ads to be displayed in the blog. In fact this particular blogging community has an add-on for your site readily available for showing related google ads. Why google ads, you ask? Simple - Google owns this blogging community.

Another concept of online communication is pods. Pods are like mini blogs. Think of a blog as a collection, while a pod is more of a single-serving. Pods offer a few added features such as photos and links, but not as many features as blogging sites.

If you are more interested in your circle and not so much on world fame, you may want to check out social networking. With sites like MySpace and FaceBook you can set up your profile, including photos, and link to your friends and family who also have pages in the social network community.

There are other options for making your presence known in the online world, but blogging, pods, and social networking have become the standards for online presence and communication. It's simple to set up, and gives you a great way to share stories and photos with your family, group or community.
