The reasoning behind a bathroom vanity

By Sebastian Zidan

Wondering why a bathroom vanity is so paramount to your bathroom? The basic reason is because unlike the rest of your bathroom fixtures, shower, sink, toilet etc, the vanity is the one item you have exclusive control over. The size, the placement, and the actual item you decide to purchase. Your entire theme can be dependent on choosing the correct mirror and trimmings to highlight the bathroom.

Because these permanent fixtures can not be moved very easily, it is nearly impossible to rearrange them. The most valuable item that you have total control over is the vanity. This item needs to be chosen on a personal level by you. You also need to choose a mirror that represents your home along with the warmth you want your guests to feel as they enter your newly redesigned bathroom.

Every room in the whole house may be decorated to the max but the restroom is one stop that most guests make after they enter your house. There is a very good possibility that your dining room or your den can be seen but they are not looked at like your bathroom is. With a smaller space they are going to notice the details more on your vanity and what colors you accented the whole room with. Guests notice things even more when they enter a room without any distraction. So make sure it gives off the impression you want. Also make sure that you pick a higher quality vanity because this is what will give off your personal image.

You need to keep in mind that most people check out how they look before leaving the bathroom. This is the reason why all public bathrooms have some type of standard mirror in them. It is guaranteed that your guests are going to look closely at the bathroom vanity when they are staring at their image in the mirror. The main details they are going to study will be the type of trim that is keeping the vanity in place and is the proportion of the vanity right for your bathroom.

There are many things you need to consider when you choose the bathroom vanity that best fits your room, the most paramount starting with size. In general, your bathroom vanity is going to be located over top of the sink. Therefore, you need to consider the size of your sink when you are choosing what size mirror you want and how much you want your mirror to cover the wall.

Many people tend to match their bathroom vanity to the size of the sink which is ok most of the time with larger sinks. However, if you have a small sink, a small mirror hanging over the sink may only exemplify how empty your bathroom looks. Thus, you might consider purchasing a larger mirror to help feel up the empty white space in your bathroom and give it a more thoughtful appearance.

Overhead lighting above the vanity mirror also is going to be appreciated by your guests, while also bringing out the trimming of the bathroom vanity you purchase and put in place. After you spend so much time finding the perfect mirror there is no reason why you should not get to show off your efforts a little to your guests by placing it in the spotlight.
